Croce d'aune today
A cracking little climb, one of my favourites, it's a nasty ramp at the lower section and towards the top as well before the crest. Expect a breakaway.
Has the Giro gone over it that way in recent memory?
I was looking back though older routes and couldn't see it anywhere.
Can anyone help?

There used to be a Campagnolo groupset with the same name, presumably because it is close to Vincenza.0

it's where he had his epiphany moment and invented quick release skewers.
There's a monument to him tucked to the side of the top of the climb, although it's quite discreet and easy to miss.0 -
I walked down the Croce d'Aune and on into Feltre at the end of a walk through the Dolomites , an age ago now , but missed the plaque to Tullio C I do confess . At the time , at home in UK , I was also riding with the Cd'A groupset , and was aware of the history of the place ."Lick My Decals Off, Baby"0
