Thinking of getting a full susser (bike nicked so need a new one). If i strech my budget I maybe able to push it to circa £1.2k so as previous bike was a commencal thinking that I mite stick with the brand. Not sure which one to get dont think the extra travel will really show to me yet (although possibly in future)

Anyone offer any advice on the 2 bikes and some food for thought?

I'm pretty sure you can't pcik up a 5.5.2 for 1.2k. Maybe just a 5.5.3

Meta 6 hasn't been getting the best reviews this year has it? Do you need the extra weight?

Was in local bike shop today and I should be able to get them both about the same price, was thanks to the deal merlin had. Not got him to commit to anything yet but I am just worried that the 663 maybe a bit too much bike and 552 could suit better. Unless I can get them for a days ride then trying them on flat road isnt going to help much. Only full suss I have tried is my pals stumpy which is good but as said before i thought I would stick to commencal and the meta got great reviews last year when I was shopping for a bike. The theft has me starting again. Wanna try get something in 2-4weeks so I dont miss the summer!

You will not be disappointed with a Meta 5 I know that much . It rides superbly and never feels like its bottoming out no matter how hard I try.

Anyone else got anything to add. Struggling with what bike to get and want to try make a decision in next 2 weeks so I can get back out on the trails. Max budget would be circa £1.2k. Looking for something in the all mountain range.
