Its got to be the more expensive Yeti. Good kit, very good value, ignore creaky Kona's.

If you've narrowed it down to those 2 - prob the first one.

The guy couldn't even be arsed to clean the second one for the photo. It has a triple chainset on too - which would suggest it's been thrashed and not serviced, as it's the guys only bike, but a long travel bike, so to do everything, rather than get a XC bike, he put 3 rings on.

I dunno, it's just my guess, but I would defo be going with the top one.

yeah the more expensive one looks in better nik doesnt it, how much travel could i put on the front by any chance and will med be ok for my height?? im 5ft 10/11 so its out of the top one and a kona stinky then, how much abuse could the ASX take as want get into DH not just freeriding which i do now.

ASX will love a bit of playfulness. I've a friend who has been to Scotland and used his on the world cup course, in comps, etc. He wants a full-on DH bike now.

He was running Fox 32's, which was 180mm travel, I think. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm 5' 11" and I'd go for the med, as it'll be more manouverable than a large, but thats me.

p.s. I wouldn't change a thing on that either, well, maybe the stem spacers to the same colour....

    Fox 32's are 140mm travel.

The Fox 36's are 160mm. I nearly bought one with Totem's on (180mm) and that was a medium. I'm 6'1" so am taller than you.

You could always stick it out with the current forks, or trawl around for some 180mm beasties. Like the Marzocchi 66's, Totem's, 888's, Boxxer's... The list goes on.
