I've just been down to Ribble Cycles and they have informed me that they are closing the shop on blackpool road in Preston and moving to online only. With the possibility of a shop at the warehouse at Walton Summit at some point in the future!

Apparently they are going to 'close for refubishment' and simply not re-open. Saturday will be the last day.

I've been going there for at least 10 years so I'm kind of speachless...
It's all good.

prob. the cost of business rates in town. Having a warehouse with a shop within it would make more financial sense.

A shame - got my bike there. They aren't many good shops in Preston.

Never had a problem, the lads in the shop are (were) pretty good and the two times I've ordered online the goods came within the week

Bummer - I travel to Preston frequently and the shop is only a few minutes away from the office - it's easier to pop in there for tyres and the like than it is to go to my LBS, particularly for Campagnolo.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Similar for me I work in Preston - Ribble means and don't need to give up part of my weekend messing around in bike shops (I'd rather be riding or doing Dad duty).

I've been down to the new 'factory shop' at Walton Summit, its OK to find if you follow the directions on their website. Nothing in there at the mo but guy in there said they will be getting bikes etc on display in the next few days.
