rides up in the keilder area 16/17 th may?

hi guys am up that neck of the woods, early friday afternoon 15th, was hoping if anyone had some great local knowledge for routes, to show two fairly fit experienced mountain bikers, we are planning on camping fairly near keilder forest, we are up for anything!!! 8)

    Not deadly close, but I know Kielder reasonably well... Head for the Kielder Castle Car Park and do the Deadwater Trails if I were you... It starts just off the castle car park, it's about 8 miles long (with an optional black section part way along), and lots of lovely singletrack.

    Forgot to say...

    There's also a newer, longer red route that runs along the side of the reservoir before heading up into the hills, but it's not as technical, or as much fun. If it were down to me, I'd rather ride the Deadwater Red twice! ;)
