Hey guys, it's my first post so sorry if i'm a bit blank or confusing.
Basically i'm looking at getting into MTB for the summer as i want to get fitter and i've also wanted to do it for a while, i used to BMX when i was 12-16 (I'm now 18 ). The only problem is that i have no idea where to start, i'd like to do DH riding but i'd rather get some experience first.
From when i used to do BMX it seemed that the main big boys were Felt, DMR & specialized but don't know if it's changed. I'm guessing a hard tail is what i should be looking at, i've got a budget of about £350-400. Also if it helps i'm 5'10" and 10.8 stone.
Any help would be much appretiated
Thanks, Jack.

Welcome to the forums!
I've always ridden Specialized but it's best to go to a good shop and get fitted.
The best way to start is to just get out and ride. Start slowly and work your way up.
Have fun!I ride like a girl

Welcome, welcome!
Check out the What Hardtail sticky in the buying advice forum - some good advice in there for what to do with your cash. Nothing beats giving a few a go but at least you'll know what to look for when you walk into the shop and want to arrange test rides.
Good luck!0
