Buying road bike advice please ...

Can anyone help me ?
My daughter needs a new road bike
she is racing at national level at under 12
shes 5'6" and is currently riding an appollo tdf,
wiliing to spend between £800 and £1000 as she is still growing,have been looking at the focus cayo 08, specialized tarmac 08 and trek 1.7,

has anyone got any advice to pass on to a complete novice ?

    You can't go wrong with the Tarmac. Used by a lot of the pros, so that says something. Also see them alot in amature racing.

    specialized alloy frames are excellent, as above cant go wrong. you get a lot for your money on the bike equipment wise. alloy or carbon? the choice is yours but bear in mind carbon will almost certainly shatter and be a write off in a first or second crash god forbid if yo uhave one so bear in mind some of the EM2 or scandium/7046 are as light as carbon frames and a whole lot more robust when it comes to knocks etc....
