Road bike for competitive racing?

Can anyone help me ?
My daughter needs a new road bike
she is racing at national level at under 12
shes 5'6" and is currently riding an appollo tdf,
wiliing to spend between £800 and £1000 as she is still growing,have been looking at the focus cayo 08, specialized tarmac 08 and trek 1.7,

has anyone got any advice to pass on to a complete novice ?

    That's what I'd like my daughters to do! :D

    It might be worth asking in the "Amatuer Race" section. I think there are gear size restrictions in youth racing to protect young legs.

    Out of interest, what are her competitors racing on?
    FCN 2-4.

    You might want to ask this in the Race forums, Buying Advice or Amateur Racing sections I'd guess. Maybe look in the Family and Kids section too.

    A mixture really but they are all high end price bikes and as we have 2 daughters racing and they grow like sunflowers its not feasable to spend megabucks on 1 bike ,we know the gearing etc but asking arround at races etc for advice is tricky as they all spend max amounts on their bikes ,we just want to give her a step up from what she is allready riding !
