Campag Ventos are one level about Fulcrums 7s. The Ventos are roughly equal to 5s, and the 7s equal to Khamsins.
I've had a set of Ventos for over a year and used and abused them on the winter bike. Been off road with them, got covered in mud etc etc, and the hubs are still OK, no issues with going out of true too.0 -

Can you not have your wheels re-spoked with more heavy duty ones? Just an idea...0

If you havr £200 to spend why not just spend it on a good quality rear wheel is weight is bothering you.
When you have saved up again then buy the matching front.
If your looking at Vento's I'm guessing you run Campag.£200 would probably buy you a Record hub with something like a DT 1.1 or Ambrosio excellence with some decent spokes.I'm similar weight to you and I run these wheels with Sapim CX ray spokes but this would take you over budget.0 -

You are 85-90kg and worried about spokes adding weight? Lose 0.5kg and that will probably still be more than the combined weight of the spokesM.Rushton0 -

I'm 86kg and find most wheels are ok and dont flex too bad. The REALLY cheap ones dont like it obviously
But yeah, change the spokes and you wont notice the minimal extra weight after 2 weeks. It might even ride better.0 -
I just bought some Xerox lites for £200.
I'm very keen on them, though I only weigh 57kg...Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.0 -

Thanks! Looks like a great deal and has definitely made my shortlist.0 -
I'd go Open Pro / Ultegras personally.
I weigh 93 at the moment, it was a revelation going from Ksyrium Equipes to Open Pros on my winter/trainer. (I have a powertap rear and DT Swiss 240 front hub).
The Ksyriums were good wheels but the ride quality on the open pros is brilliant!0 -

Ultegra hubs are nice but expensive for what you get if some of the local shops are to be believed. The Hope's are the same price and seem to be much more respected
I want Chris King Classic Cross'ers on mine now. :P0 -
How about a pair of Bontrager Classics. Sigma Sport are knocking them out at £200 a pair.0

http://www.bontrager.com/model/06331/en I really like the look of them, but the Aeolus 5's just look super cool next to them.  :P0 -
