Was at Swinley yesterday and boy talk about BAD Patching up of
the runs there.
Using large stones and sand and this is just laying on the top surface and not packed down.

I had a front end down and my friend went front end down later too
and split his helmet, oK but sore.

Unfortunatly a young guy had to be Air lifted after a bad off on the Baby Maker
run where there is the double jump near the bottom.

Hope he is well.

It's been a down a couple of months now and I thought it was bedding in quite well tbh. If it's some new patching work it'll take a it of rain to help it.
Although I also, lost the front end, resulting in a new rim and mashed knee, I'd put it down to user error but now I'm blaming the trail :)

Bad news about the young lad hope he's ok.
  • I was there all day yesterday and had a great time (only my 3rd visit) but I thought on the whole the new stuff was pretty well bedded in, had a couple of wobbly moments but was quite impressed!

I even started practicing jumps (my Achilles’ heel) and got some air without stacking it! Was pretty chuffed (ache this morning though!)

I did see the air ambulance landing so hope all is good, I heard a kid knocked himself out.

Spoke to plenty of folks too, very friendly...can't wait to go back.

Swinley is a great place to ride, I need to get back there soon. Sadly my mate that I ride with has weekend commitments and I tend not to ride solo
The Babymaker is a tricky bit of terrain, I do hope the youngster's doing all right.
