Lovely bike. If it were mine i'd lose the rockshox sticker though.
Have you weighed it yet?0 -
defot eh rock shock sticker spoils it mate. apart from that very nice bike chap and a nice spec0
-
oh yeah, forgot about that - was gonna take that off before i had it built doh!!0
-
Updated with some better photos, minus one RS sticker
I've weight it with a handheld scale thing so not overly accurate but it says its about 29lbs. I was shooting for lower than that really but there are some heavier bits on there which may get swapped out once i shead a few lbs myself0 -

Is your groupset made of lead with your bars and stem cast Iron?
Seriously though, looks fab now the stickers gone.0 -
lol, well i mean i would really have like to have the 4.1 wheelset and carbon stem, bars and seatpost - full xtr would have been nice etc.... but i'm short on the cash at the moment so maybe next year i can give it an alround upgrade.
Its a far cry from the jumping frame hardtail i was using for XC before tho so it should be great for the XC stuff0 -
Your groupset and components are fine XTR is for the megarich.
Apologies for being too cryptic but the point I was trying to make (and hopelessly failed at) was that either your scales are way, way out or you meant to put 29ibs!0 -
erm oh... i'll check - you might be on to something there. Think they're kg - best double check0
-
Yep, sure as anything - read the wrong scale, its 29lbs0

Phew!!! lol
Lovely bike mate! Even nicer now its 'weight problem' has been sorted
SiWhy has my sig been removed by the admins???0 -
dynamis_dk wrote:Yep, sure as anything - read the wrong scale, its 29lbs
Thought so.
I used to have a Heckler around 8-9 years ago and got the weight down to 28lbs with largely shimano XT stuff. Loved that bike - had to get rid to finance a family holiday. Shame!!!0 -

Nice. A real clean looking bike. Quite jealous!
Now go get it muddy!! 8)Boo-yah mofo
Sick to the power of rad
Fix it 'till it's broke0 -
All this talk of weight just made me pick up my bike on the Wii fit... My Heckler is 30ibs, fcuk i could loose some weight myself. Just given the bike a clean and its 28ibs now.
Love the superlight....09 - Santa Cruz Heckler
03 - Trek 8500
95 - P7 (Dead, but I loved it)
Year dot - Alpine Stars CR300 - Still going strong...0 -
that stems bloody long lol '

-
updated weight having bought some digital scales - comes in at a nice 29.4 lbs0
-
surprised at the weight considering the superlight r comes in at 27.2 lbs and has roughly the same specmongoose amasa elite 08
giant anthem x4 100 -
I like it - quit e alot like my old Heckler with a 100mm setting on the front fork.
As for the weight I imagine the new supelight R might be weighing in at less - the frame is different isnt it?Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -

Probably without pedals though.
Nice machine!0 -
That is one heavy Superlight. Why the heavy rims and big brakes? They are pretty out of place there.0
