Ridden for years on such minimal perches such as Flites Slrs Slr xp etc no issues unfortunately got piniformis issues (a pain in the ar**) last year and having done tons of stretching physio etc eventually it shifted....unfortunately back on the bike and its also returned...
Using an alloy frame which does transmit some road shock but have fitted a specialized alias saddle which is comfy and spesh seatpost with gel inserts pus some handbuilt wheels all of which give a smoother ride...oh and lost a bit of psi in the tyres as well.
Anyone out there with advice on getting rid of the pain and preventing again?
Would a gel seat cover help in the interim?
driving me mad....must go to painfull to sit around??

If you are sure you have piriformis issues you should never have stoped the stretches. Massage will also assist.0

Thanks for the updates..quite a rare injury it appears or certainly for cyclists more runners i suggest.
yeah been stretching loads and a couple of days of the bike its ceratinly eased off and the nerve aint as trapped...that queasy sickness feeling..yuk!
Trouble is though no one appears to know when/how long its likely to last or if it will re appear?
Any physios out there who have knowledge?
even the net throws up minimal info apart from stretch stretch stretch!0
