So, it's round two of the world cup downhill this weekend (in La Bresse, Fr). Anyone want to join in with some predictions?
I'm going to go with Sam Hill in the mens. It's looking like it could be wet and technical and that's when he's at his best. I wouldn't be surprised if Gee Atherton gave us a good showing too.
Tracey Moseley would be my choice for the womens, with one of the young French girls taking second.

Definitely tracy for the women's - so strong last tie out.
Going to say Minaar again, and Peaty with a shout as he likes the wet.0 -

Yeah, actually having a team this season (she was essentially on her own with Kona last year by the sounds of things - sorting out all the logistics etc) seems to be good for her. The lack of a certain Miss Atherton probably helps a smidge too
I wonder if I can rouse myself from my pit in time for the racing this time, 6 am on a Sunday is a little difficult.0 -
Better bike for Ms Mosely too it seems.0

Just been watching the day 1 practice video on MTBCut and it looks like a fun track, essentially just bombing it down a hill - no deep cut trail, just keep it between the tapes and find your own line.
Fairclough is looking fast, top ten finish I think.0 -
Have to say Hilll must have a chance there, fast and drift.0

Qualifying taken by Peaty with Gee in second. Hill in fourth but managed to cross the line with his chain hanging off. Fairclough made good on that speed and qualified 6th.
Tracy Moseley made it look easy, top qualifier by 1.66 s. Third place was 11:20 behind!0 -
Good old Peaty!0
