130mm forks

Was think hypothetically about a fork upgrade on my Fuel EX - now it has a Recon 351 solo 130mm currently - but scanning the web it seems there are hardly any aftermarket 130mm forks?
do i have to get a 140mm and alter the handling/geometry, or get a multi travel fork and run it at the lower setting, (seems a bit of a waste)
any thoughts...

That is a very good fork. Any reason to upgrade it?0

To be honest no, and unless it died I wouldn't, like I say it's only a 'what if' scenario but it got me looking and that's why I wondered why there are so few 130mm forks, and what I'd do if the situation arose. The recon seems great, let's hope it stays that way!0

Just the way things are going. Forks get bigger, more is better (apparently) and then the other companies follow suit.
Clasiic example is the Fox Float - started out at 100mm, then 125, 130, 140, 150... Eventually they have to launch a new short travel model!
Al air RS fork can be reduced in travel internally.0 -
I've got an '09 Fuel Ex 8 with a 130 mm float. I know it's a Trek exclusive (it's an RL), but perhaps Mojo or similar would be able to wind a 140 float down to 130?0

Yeah I thought so , just seems a bit daft shortening a long fork. Fox do the custom fork especially for the higher end ex models so why not sell it too!0

Yeah, the Fox can be sorted out too.0
