What grease/lube

Hi all, what do you all use for keeping pedals spinning and also for placing on the threads of old fashioned square tapered bottom brackets and their shells.
I only ask as I will be doing these at the weekend.

For threads, plain ol' copper grease from yer' garage/local motor factors/Halfords will suffice: you can buy a large tub of it that'll last years for the same price as a small tube of "cycle-specific" anti-sieze.0

Thanks Jimbo. Thought that was the case. Bought some earlier today. Also found that i had some Park tool grease as well. Worked a real treat.I don't mind what they say... as long as they say its enormous0
