New Spesh Pitch Comp, odd noise from front forks?

Hey :)

I have just bought a Spesh Pitch Comp and noticed something a little odd about the front forks. When the forks compress they make a metallic squish noise, not like the normal squish noise from my MX Comp ETA's. I'm guessing this is because they have a spring inside of them instead of air sprung like my MX Comps - is this the case?

Odd questions I know ;)

Cheers,

Verta

    Nothing unusual there me thinks.

Just need to ride some ruff stuff then the clanging over the bumps/rocks will distract you from squish noises

    Sounds normal to me too.

The 'squish' noise is the oil damper working. I think the 'zocchis have an open bath oil system (oil is loose inside forks), and I'm pretty sure your Pike's have an oil cartridge.

    Just sounds different! 8)

Yip, normal sound on Rockshox. It's the damper doing its thing.
