New Spesh Pitch Comp, odd noise from front forks?

Hey
I have just bought a Spesh Pitch Comp and noticed something a little odd about the front forks. When the forks compress they make a metallic squish noise, not like the normal squish noise from my MX Comp ETA's. I'm guessing this is because they have a spring inside of them instead of air sprung like my MX Comps - is this the case?
Odd questions I know

Nothing unusual there me thinks.
Just need to ride some ruff stuff then the clanging over the bumps/rocks will distract you from squish noises0 -
Sounds normal to me too.
The 'squish' noise is the oil damper working. I think the 'zocchis have an open bath oil system (oil is loose inside forks), and I'm pretty sure your Pike's have an oil cartridge.
Just sounds different! 8)Boo-yah mofo
Sick to the power of rad
Fix it 'till it's broke0 -
Yip, normal sound on Rockshox. It's the damper doing its thing.0
