ive just recently had a very bad expirence at corleys in milton keynes when my groupset was fitted badly and the owner wasnt even bothered to contact me to help sort it out !

why in these hard times arnt the shops going that bit further to make people happy when they have a problem dont they think when we ride in groups they share horror stories ,

its nice to find shops that go that bit further to keep you coming back.

anybody know of good shops in the bucks and berks area

I can recommend the shop I work in (surprise). Not a road specialist shop, but the mechanics at the workshop are top notch.

AW Cycles are top notch in my experience, however, they do have a reputation for being somewhat expensive.

Jez mon your right they are expensive. But I've always found the staff very good. They always have time for you no matter how busy they are.

I bought a bike from AW last year, and went in to buy another - without actually SAYING I was going to buy another. I told them I was seriously interested, but the truth was I'd decided to spend my money. After a good long chat about what would fit (they still had my measurements from the previous bike) I asked if they'd arrange a test ride for me to try one or two. The guy who had been previously helpful said that he didn't think I'd be able to tell much difference between the machines we were talking about, but that he thought they'd have something around I could have a ride on.

I couldn't believe what he was saying, and checked with him a couple of times, but he appeared to mean it.

So another local shop was quite happy to take a couple of grand from me, having arranged a couple of test rides.

But I gave them another chance. I took a bike in for a service a few weeks ago, and it took about twice as long as they'd promised - nothing big or rare needed, so I'm bemused why it took so long.

So sadly AW won't be getting a whole lot more of my money
