Yeh those are them. Contis are like riding on hosepipes compared to the quality open tubs like the veloflex and open corsas.
Contis do tend to have better puncture resistance though, but they feel as nice.0 -

There was a German tyre test a while back - I seem to remember Conti GP4000 came out either at the top or close to it - both for rolling resistance and puncture resistastance.
No point in having great rolling figures if the tyres keep flatting.0 -
The best compromise between rolling resistance and punctureproofness is Michelin Pro3 Race IMO.

This is worth a read.Conti GP 4000S {don`t forget the s} wins.
It`s from 2007 though.Smarter than the average bear.0 -
Veloflex Record as very fast rolling and light, but they might be a nightmare to get on a rim, mine were on my Mavic Cosmic Carbone's. I only use them for TT-ing, not sure of the durability for road racing however.
Saying that, mine have not got any cuts in at all, and I have had no punctures for the few hundred miles I have ridden mine.0 -

Indeed. The Pro3 Races only came out in 2008 and would rate higher in this kind of comparative test.
Another thing about the Michelins - they last! My first set have done 4,500 miles and still get used for training. Only 1 puncture in that time, and that includes some farm track and off-road stuff.
