no one seems to review percription glasses or from what i can see, so i thought id ask you guys if you've had any experiance with them and who to look at, currently im looking at a pair of oakleys however they are starting from £200. Also id rather not go for a clip-in system like specialized glasses but for the propper lenses like oakley.
thanks
thanks

There maybe some hints in Speedy's post started in this forum on Tuesday. It does come up fairly regularly! One of the drawbacks of there being a high turnover of posts. All the best,

I've found Optilabs to be pretty good. They have a decent range of prescription lens and cycling specific wraparound frames:

+1 for Optilabs, I have a pair of their glasses with the photochromic lenses and they're excellent.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0 -
The prescription Oakleys are amazing though, despite being so expensive. I've used a pair for many years so feel I've got my money's worth over time.
When you consider (rightly or wrongly) that the normal non-prescription Oakleys cost a fortune on their own it makes them seem a bit better value.0 -
I also have Oakley prescription glasses, which I've used for around 6 years both for mountain biking and road cycling. Although they are not cheap, I think they are worth the money. They seem to be immune to scratching.0

I 've been chewing over the prescription cycling glasses thing for a while and after being quoted a staggering sum for Oakleys I've opted for disposable contacts and conventional cycling glasses. This gives a bit more flexibility with tints (or not) and I've started using the contacts for general use as well. I agree that Oakleys are well made and will no doubt last a while but for the fairly dedicated use they will get they are a bit rich for me.0

I am trying Bolle safety glasses with contacts at the moment, the glasses I ordered wrap around quite well and have tough lenses. Bolle make several styles, some with tints, albeit not full on sunglasses. At £6 to £7 (+ VAT + P&P), I thought I'd try a few styles to see which worked best.
