You'll have to bear with me on this one as I've just had this mad idea and it might come out a bit of a mess...........

It would be so awesome to create a SCR movie! It could be a mix between Fight Club and Fast and Furious :-D

Gonna need to flesh out the details about the story but we already have a huge collection of heroic stories on the SCR thread or we could embellish them a bit :-)
On the mean streets of London while others make their way home an elite group of riders prepare to engage in a cut throat race across town. Whilst others are happy to pootle along these brave few feel the need to push themselves faster, ride harder in an effort to overtake all those ahead of them. They are the kings of the commute.

This is SCR.

It's always a race........

Of course the other thing that will need deciding is who is going to play each of us?

I'm going to bagsy my namesake Mr Cavendish personally :-)

Can we nominate someone for the Meatloaf/transexual character?

Could we use BoJo and David Cameron for that one..........then the bus pitches wildly and crashes into the HoP and explodes...........happy ending :-)

Well, I do have a Thesp in the family.....

If you remember "Prisoner cell block H" - the first episode. Lady who sets fire to herself - My Dads cousin y'know....I am sure that the film will need a person on fire.

I also walked into Claudia Schiffer at Geneva airport - quite literally, I was not watching where I was going - this obviously constitutes me as "knowing" her - wonder if she would do a cameo as a BMX junkie doing some urban freestyle.

That role will be filled by Nicole Kidman, she's played the role before though only the riding, no tricks when she was 17 yrs old.

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

I still think that was a class movie when I last watched it (14yrs).
But then again, the A-team was great until I watched it again

I would like the non-urbanites to be represented by a Mad Max character - alone in the wilderness, hunting scalps. Probably mentally deranged, and looking for sustenance (coffee/jelly babies etc). Maybe a dingo as a companion.

OK, I'm spending too much time thinking about this, and will start backing away slowly.....

I nominal DDD to play the average joe who starts off on a halfords hybrid being scalped on a daily basis, but then trains on a turbo every night, gets a colango c40 and kicks arse. He gets the girl ( a fixie chick with a red chain )[/b]

I like vorsprung's story idea the most. Just make the whole movie a huge montage.

With Rocky IV-esque soundtrack. Will DDD overcome his Dolph-like nemesis Jash/Greg66*

    * Delete as appropriate, not a jash, greg66 hybrid. That's a different movie.

I think an SCR manga would be better, plus all the participants would have 1 weapon attachment on their bike.

Your thinking of SCR: The manga, that would be a spin off ;-)

Quite like the idea of DDD with Eye of the Tiger, we could have him training in Richmond Park, trying to achieve a sub 55 minute time in the 3 lap challenge :-D

Am liking the montage idea. Does that mean we have newbie issues at the beginning (e.g.falling off because of spd issues)?
