Have been staying at my sisters in Putney for a few days whilst working in London so brought my bike down and knock out a few laps of Richmond Park.

Went last night and enjoyed it apart from a few loony car drivers.
Enjoyed it so much in fact that i was there again at 05:30 this morning. (Double Joy to see no cars allowed in till 7 :P )

Anyway saw all the usual wildlife like foxes, deer etc etc but then cruising along and I swear that a group of 4 or 5 bright green Parrots flew across my path.

Now I know London is on of the most multicultural cities in the world but do you really now have wild Parrots! or was it the several pints of London Pride that I had whilst watching the Chelsea fans bubble burst playing tricks on me??

The urban myth was that Jimi Hendrix brought them over as pets and they escaped whilst he was in the studio

More and more of them around the south, you'll usually hear them before you see them, and yeah, the first time I saw one I was well suprised.

Last week, in the small park at the back of my garden, a fox was chasing a Muntjac deer out of its terrority. I live in North London and it's the first time I've seen a wild deer, had to video it to convince the wife about it.

Yes - big flocks of wild parakeets at large in London now - impressive !

And wallabies on the Moors too - but not seen those as yet.

The parakeets are spreading west through Surrey and into Berkshire - pay a visit to Dorney Lake near Windsor and there's big flocks of them - they're quite voracious and are dispossessing some of the indigenous species. Last year on the Isle of Man came around the corner to find was a wallaby bouncing down the road - a few escaped from the zoo
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Yep, we used to live in South East London and we often saw flocks of parakeets round and about. if one was on its own, it would get mobbed by pigeons and other 'locals'...
