SCR Facebook page?! I know it could be a bit too personal, but may be easier for organising ride outs/events.

For some of us, that would require a Facebook account first (I assume).

New fangled nonsense. What's wrong with posting a letter?

    Posting a letter?

Are all you people actually real then?

Well, it was either Facebook or match.com.....
  • Hold on a minute ... aren't I already a member of such a group? Isn't that chap (Mark with the unpronounceable surname?) who was in the paper the other week the obergruppenfuhrer of the group?

Can't check as I'm at work (and facebook is banned - thank god they don't know how much time I waster on bikeradar!) but I'm sure one of the regulars will be along shortly to post a link.
Never be tempted to race against a Barclays Cycle Hire bike. If you do, there are only two outcomes. Of these, by far the better is that you now have the scalp of a Boris Bike.

    Isn't there one already?

A lot of workplaces block FB, though, and given most posting goes on during work hours...

Surely not, I can't believe anyone would be on BR rather than working. That would imply we're a bunch of work shy layabouts

    Did someone call :-)

To answer the OP we already have an SCR group on The Facebook, link is in my sig where it says "The Game" - twas quite popular last time I checked with over 300 members!

We have tried using it for arranging social outings and Xmas bits but as we have an international following messaging all group members can be a bit messy!
Guess we could get splinter groups setup for each area but then most arranging happens on the forum...........ah it's so complicated!!!!

Lot of members (I'm one) but not a lot of activity. We're all being part of the problem, not the solution there....

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but as one of the people that monitors Internet Activity I can promise you that will know exactly how much time you spend surfing. If they are filtering sites then they are monitoring which sites ARE being accessed and by whom.

As long as you keep your head down and your name off the radar (pardon the pun) you'll be fine, but they CAN check.

    What about a LiveJournal?

You can post on it without signing in. You'll need to remember to sign your posts though.

I think we did suggest SCR's start twiiter feeds so we can get live scalping reports :-)

"On embankment, just took a roadies"

What we need is an iphone/GPS enabled phone app that you can start at the beggining of your commute and it plots your route and compares to other riders on you rroute at the same time to check who you scalped?

I've seen Patriot Games. The CIA can watch us all by satellite. Do you think they watch the UK's SCR action?

    Yeah, probably not.

Surely some action must get caught on some of the billions of CCTV cameras we have in the capital?
