Im about to rebuild a pair of wheels for a 1930's Royal Enfield, as the spokes are coated in rust. Its impossible to tell what the finish would have been originally. What im wondering is whether I should use some stainless steel spokes for the build, or get some black ones. Which is likely to be closest to the original finish??

Im not looking at some concours rebuild by the way, as much of the rest of it has 'patina'....

Depending on the rest of the bike, I THINK I'd go black - reasonably unobtrusive!
