Hi all as you can see from the title im a newbie and want to get back on a bike after 15 years off one. Im looking at doing mainly country tracks. I have a budget of around the £200 mark which i know wont get me much but ive already got too many toys (so the wife says). Does anyone have any recomendations

Ok ive read the thread and have been down one of the local shops and have seen a couple of bikes that seem ok they are the Claud butler ravana 2008 model and the diamondback overdrive 09 does anyone on here know anything about them ie which has the best spec as i havnt got a clue which gears etc are the better ones. They are both the virtualy the same price. I know im not going to get top quality for the price i can afford but want to get the best from a small budget. Thanks0

Out of the two I would prefer the Cluad Butler - has some good parts for the price, especially the 24 spd gearset.

Thats was my first thought the problem is that they only have it in 20" frame and im 6 2" the chap in the shop said it was ok and it felt ok but as not ridden for a long time im unsure. There was another bike which was the landrover G4 which was similar price and looks to have a decent spec but as b4 im not too sure0

If it felt right, and the shop assistant agreed it looked right, then it is right.0
