    Doesn't say what he's been pinged for does it. Anyone know?

    Test was from March 19 apparently.

    Also, notably an ex-Barloworld rider, make of that what you will.

    Karpets and Pozzato too must be nervous, sorry calm this evening. It could be a result of DIY but many have been raising eyebrows at Ivanov's performances.

    AP says

    A surprise test on Pfannberger at his home in Austria on
    March 19 came back positive, and the rider sent a letter to
    Katusha on Tuesday saying he was pulling out of the Giro
    for personal reasons.
    On Wednesday, Pfannberger's agent told the Russian team of
    the failed test.

    And Reuters has a handy reminder that he's already done a two stretch for EPO in 2004:

    Austrian champion Pfannberger faces a possible life ban from
    the sport having already been handed a two-year suspension after
    a positive test for the blood-booster EPO in 2004.

    Seeing as quite a few of the positives this year have been from people who have either been caught before or had serious suspicion surrounding them, does that indicate that they are catching people who have always been at it. Thus the testing is getting better, or am I being too hopeful?

    Possibly more to do with the fact that a week before Pfannbergers test, Christoph Kerschbaum was arrested and questioned for 11 days about the trafficking of doping products.

    The UCI have confirmed his A sample was positive for EPO.
