Very good lever that. Never pinched a tube with it. Unfortunately I lost mine out of my back pocket somewhere in Swinley woods. I am back to my old pedros levers which aren't so fool proof.

I had one of them - snapped the hook off first time I used it.

My MTB tyres are very, very tight

I snapped one by being clumsy and Crank Bros replaced it FOC.

    To take the tyre off:
    1) use the lever as a standard lever to get under the bead of the tyre.
    2) the handle extends and you clip the end to the QR skewer.
    3) rotate the top of the lever at the rim around the rim peeling the tyre off the rim the end of the lever on the QR acts as a guide

    To put tyre on:
    1) hook the long hook part of the lever over the rim and extend the handle as before to clip the QR
    2) rotate the lever around the rim forcing the tyre on to the rim, you will need to hold the tyre at one point and slide the lever around to that point otherwise the tyre will unzip itself just ahead of the lever.

Hard to describe but the pack has directions on it. If you ever go to get tyres fitted on your car it uses the same principle.

Always did wonder if they were any good - seems like they are. Except for being snappable (I used to get through at least one lever per punc).

Slightly OT - the steel cored levers seem unbreakable, but would they dent your wheel if you were using them wrong? :?:

Ooh. Fancy dan. Had my current levers for over 20 years. Due for a change, no? :D

Bought one yesterday. I hate putting tyres back on.
