Where do I carry stuff on the weekends.

My new Kuota has an aero seat post.

On long weekend rides how/where should I carry things like an Inner tube, pump, lights, tyre levers and multi tool?

I don't want to carry a backpack and I'd prefer not to put a saddle bag on the bike.

What do you guys do with your best bikes?

Saddle pack for me, a little one, and everything that doesn't fit in there goes in the jersey pockets.

I just stuff it all in the back pockets on my jersey even though I may look like a demented hunchback

+1 just put it on when you need it. I use a specialized mini jobbie, fits what i might need (tube, levers, co2) leaving room for food etc in jersey pockets.

Worth pointing out that a saddlepack is worth buying - use it to put things like house keys in; you don't want to be skidding along your back on tarmac with serrated house keys gouging a hole in your flesh...

Indeed not, and I've lost my phone out of my jersey pocket when bending down fiddling with my shoe twice now, so it goes in the saddle pack too.

    For me:

    Pump goes on the frame.

    Multitool
    P* repair kit
    Tyre levers
    Phone
    Keys
    Cash
Go in small saddle pack (I got a really smart one from Decathlon that has an integrated spring loaded clip, fits any railed saddle and no messing about with moving a bracket around)

    Snack bars - jersey pockets

Inner tube - I suppose this will have to go in the jersey pocket, or I need a bigger saddle pack.

I'm not comfortable putting my phone, keys and cash/cash card in my jersey pocket as it isn't zipped and they may fall out.

One of these will take two inners (Conti Race Lights will go in easier than non-lights), two tyre levers, a set of allen keys, two threaded CO2 cannisters, the thing here that's screwed onto the CO2 cannister, and two house keys.

Phone, food & money go in the jersey pockets. Phone (iphone) has a latex case so doesn't slip on fabric, and CC/notes can go in the case.

I just got a jackety thing with back pockets - surprising what you can fit in there!

DDD I have one of these

Just bigger than a box of matches. I bet there's a titanium version somewhere though!

    I have this:

and rate it, it is very neat, really good clip design - easily moveable between bikes. Much cleverer than the big brands equivalents.

Whether you can live with a decathlon product on your good bike is up to you...

Surprisingly roomy, and has an expansion thingy.

I was looking at that one but prefer the sleeker look of the Topeak Wedges, don't think you get quite as much storage at the Speccy one but I found the medium wedge in Evans Canary Wharf for £14.......looks plenty big enough for phone, tubes and tools etc.
My last saddle pack (Lidl........) broke during my last outing, thankfully the strap around the seat post meant I got home with my bag just about hanging on :-)

Food and bits that I'll want during the ride go in jersey pockets, always fun trying to retrieve things from them whilst moving :-D

I have a top peak wedge thingy and in normal use it holds the inner tube levers, and a couple of tools

For a leisure (sans pannier) ride I can expand it to fit in the wallet, keys, phone without a problem.

Of course if you don't like a saddle bag, you can get a triangular frame bag

    Bum Bag/Fanny Sack?

Not really my scene, but......I can see how some people might find them useful.

Just a quick note in regards to my last recommendation having now done a tiny bit of research :-)

Despite both being the same price at Evans the Topeak medium aero wedge and Specialized Wedge Bag (the one LiT uses) are actually very different! For starters the Speccy one appears to offer more space in it's "standard" size then the Topeak one in it's "expanded" size :-) Once you do open up the expansion zip on the Speccy one you get a capacity approx twice that of the Topeak in it's standard size.

Guess that decides which one I shall be getting :-D

assuming you have two bottle cage mounts
put your tools/phone in a old water bottle
put an inner tube in the top to stop stuff bouncing out

Aldi have their cycling stuff sale starting today and I believe this includes a mini saddlepack thingy

I've got the one Lit has. Never needed to use the expand bit... I use it for longer rides but for laps of RP I tend to trust to luck that I won't get a major mechanical and use one of these compact and bijou items:
