Heres my new (well new to me anyway) Specialized Enduro 2008.
Admittedly its not as flash as some others on here, but I gave it its first proper outing round Whites Level, Mynydd and Twrch at the weekend and love it.
Sorry about the pics, not a photographer.
Upgrades imminent so check back soon!

Another Spesh Enduro - and another great bike.
Give us a clue with regards the upgrades.............please!!!!!0 -
Hi SDK, yes it is an ex-demo bike. I got it cheap because of that, but its hardly been used. For another few hundred pounds the shop where I bought it from had brand new 08 models, but i thought the colour of this one was slightly different to the others you see everywhere. It rode really nicely as it was so not too much to sort on it.
So, not much to do to it really, but mainly cosmetic upgrades planned are: carbon risers, i put some ritchey pro carbons on but the rise isnt big enough so those are going, I will sort out a pimpier seat and seatpost combo, looking for a red hope seat quick release. Would love some hope brakes with floating rotors too but these are on the wish list and probably wont happen. My rear mech is about to be pimped too. Pics to follow....http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7231/6933696372_603c9ce220_b.jpg

Yey, postie has been and these landed on my desk....
Agreed, totally pointless but isnt that the point of the art of pimping (different from upgrades)????http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7231/6933696372_603c9ce220_b.jpg

What is the Enduro like for climbing? Interested to know how you got on climbing up White's level on it?Blogging about junior road bikes http://junior-road-bikes.tumblr.com0

Its fine. (It's probably way better than I am....) It has a travel reduction thing for the front forks. You turn the dial on the top of the left hand fork, press down and lose about 20-30mm on the front I think off the top of my head. (2nd pic at top of thread is half way up whites and i think the forks ar ein short travel mode there as the front looks lower). Your weight is a bit further forward because of the reduction in travel. Just have to remember to unleash the full travel for the downs... It also has 3 (again off the top of my head) settings on the rear shock, almost like a pro pedal on a fox i guess which seems to stop it bobbing up and down when you pedal. All in all, i'd say its pretty good. Obviously won't outclimb a hardtail but will eat pretty much eat anything you throw at it on the way downhill!http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7231/6933696372_603c9ce220_b.jpg

Hi,
Cracking bike mate!!!,
It was my dream bike when first released and yours looks the biz, some nice upgrades.
One question from me?, how do you find the Forks?, and the triple crown set-up.
All the best,

Steve,
For riding the forks are great. So direct, you turn the bars and the front wheel goes where you pointed it no matter what.
I'd heard some rumours that there were a few failures on some early models but mine have caused no problems whatsoever. A couple of downsides I can see with the forks are: to change the length of the stem you'd have to buy a top crown and stem from specialized (I believe the small frame has a shorter stem on so it is available). Also they do make living with the bike day to day slightly trickier, but only for reasons like you cant turn the wheel all the way like you can with normal forks. They also have a 25mm screw through axle which is nowhere near the same as any of the other standards like maxle, so you are limited to basically only the hub that comes with the bike. I have read that it is possible to make some other dt swiss hubs fit by changing bearings and spacers, but i just bought another hub as a spare off ebay in case spares dry up.
Fisgard - I still have the standard fit front mech on - Shimano M581 LX, DMD, top swing, dual pull. The cranks are the factory fitted special Shimano XT's, but i removed the outer ring, changed the middle ring to 36t and fitted an fsa bash ring. I also added a superstars chain device. I'm still not quite happy with my chainline, but it all seems to work (at the moment).
Hope that helps, thanks for looking guys.

Bike is gradually being pimped nicely:
KMC gold x9 chain and new XT cassette:
look great against the carbon jockey wheels and carbon rear cage:
You might have noticed the hope brakes in the background too. They were an ebay bargain m4 mono's silver with 203mm saw tooth floating front rotor and 185mm saw tooth floating rear rotor:
love the machining on the levers:
Apologies for it not being clean, just come back from a week in Wales. Rode up Cadair Idris while we were there which was knackkering and not as good a ride down as i'd hoped for. Still, done it now, don't need to do it again.
Ooh just realised its almost 2 years to the day since I got this bike and its still my favourite ever!http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7231/6933696372_603c9ce220_b.jpg
