Morning all

FINALLY yesterday after much delay our cycle 2 work scheme opened, so first in line LOL I logged into cyclescheme.co.uk and reqyested my voucher, was just wondering how long it norally takes to get the voucher? My GT is in need of some TLC but dont want to start a strip down until I have something else in place, just incase of any problems

Cheers

Mine came through in a week or just over. However, there are a few links in the chain, so the answer, as is often the case, is "it depends". IIRC:
    • You order your voucher from cyclescheme
    • Cyclesheme request authorisation from your employer
    • Your employer authorises the voucher
    • Cyclesheme invoice your employer
    • Your employer pays the invoice
    • Cyclescheme issue the voucher

For me the first 3 took about an hour, but YMMV!

    HTH,

I think it depends on your organisation, i submitted 3 weeks ago and my HR have only just confirmed, then i have to sign the agreement... then i get to order the bike. Does anyone know what happens if the bikes out of stock, can you change it ?

I don't actually have bike in hand yet, but hopefully the answer is YES...
I got a quote on a Spesh. Submitted quote etc to Cyclescheme.
LBS phones to say the Spesh is out of stock so I changed to a Trek. They have assured me that it makes no difference to the voucher, but as I said I don't actually have the bike yet.

My experience is 6 weeks for total process.
  • Mine took just over a week in total My HR must be quick. :D

The Hire Agreement took a couple of days then I signed it and returned it to HR on the Tuesday my voucher then came through the post on Thursday.

I then took the voucher to the shop and they ordered the Bike on Saturday. (but it took longer due to bank hol).

Picking my bike up from my LBS tomorrow after work can't wait. :D

Mine took about 2 months in total from start to finish simply because of the area my NHS trust are dealing with and the potential amount of applications it could generate, so a time frame of two months at most with a first come first served basis.

In the end I need not have worried I got mine with no problem and was asked if I wanted to take more out on it as there was 12,000 quid left in the budget! in a way I wish I had gone for more, but with the money coming out of my wages each month I went for what I needed rather than anything else.

Next time round I may look at getting something more fancy. Depends on if I am still in the employee of the the NHS in 18 months
