Meant to ask, how you getting on with the 7's. Got some on my new ride (not used - faulty rear shock, still not back  ) but they only have 180 / 160 rotors. Upgrading the front to 200 a wise idea?

FYI, I'm 14st with kit, on my Intense 6.6 circa 35lbs?

    Ta!

well mine came as standard in those sizes on the bike.

i really like avd brakes and they feel ace. oodles of power and very good modulation. mine have even been really well behaved, i noticed a load of threads on problematic avids recently.

the big disc is pretty good for me as im about 19 stone so i need the extra stopping power. i would say 185 will be fine

i can sympathise with the whole broken suspension thing but atleast mine happened on a spesh so was repaired and upgraded in 2 days and i was away again (stil left a bitter taste in my mouth though so its why i changed it all for fox and rs sus instead!)

You have WAY too much 'spare' cash as a squaddie if you can afford that then!

As much as I would love to buy a DHX 5 air can, but more probably some coil sprung option (top flight obviously) I can't afford it. Not that I'm sh*t with money, but I'm going through my full bike licence, and need a new car too, so it's a bit tight lately...!

So I have to send it away to get it repaired. It's certainly not all-good, but it's under warranty though, so it's at least semi-good.

i remember from the armed forces thread, 8)

im in the flatest part of the country, north essex!! its atrocious but is about an hour from thetford or chicksands so if i ever grow some nuts, i want to spend some time over there at the 4x track.

next posting i want is north yorks.

Mmm... Ripon / Harrogate area is goooood. Spent some time (not much though) up there, and the ridings good, the cafe's are damn good. But it's pricey. Posh buggers...

Good luck on getting it though!

I feel your pain on the flat bits. I'm in Tidworth, on the 'plain. Flat as ever, but loads of XC routes. But then I got my roadie for the phys side, I wanna play on some DH type courses... Or at least technical routes, not miles of endless exposed windy fire-roads!!
