Just come back from Lanzarote, and was confronted by this:

Now if only our cycle lanes (if we had any) ended up like this!

    Is that both ways....?

Far better than ours, but having spent two weeks riding round Lanzarote in the mid 90's, the drivers are way more understanding of cyclists anyway.

Unfortunately just one way, but more than wide enough for 2 cyclists.

    Seen something similar in Brugge.
In this country some C0ck* in a 4x4 would probably have already exerted his impotence by parking on it.

Aha! Remember Lanzarote has the LaSanta Sports training facility - Lots's of TT and Tri cyclists on the island most days - they are very used to cyclists there and cater for them very well.

Yeah, don't forget the Lanzarote Ironman - 180km Cycle Ride, 42km run and 3.8km swim!

Still, would be nice to have something like that over here :)

We have Ironman events here!! Gonna miss the one I wanted to enter this year - not enough training......! Have to do a few 70.3's instead.
