Just to say thanks to all that had input into my purchase; She finally arrived today, we have been for a quick spin just to get used to the gears, breaks and ride quality, previously I rode a hardtail mtb with road tyres. This is completely different. Much faster harder, cleaner.
I did read on another thread that showing your new bike was customary.

I would just like to mention the seat, now then, I have had a big fat boucy one(bike seat), and thought ouch! when looking at the road bike seats, but not the case. Amazed!
