Interesting..what a shame he's not spoken in public or to the media since he quite correctly spoiled Lance A's PR launch of the Catlin testing ...but last September. Why is Lemond so quiet now? LA has got away with little challenge from big names other than Roche a few days ago

Anyone know if the Trek/Lemond legal actions are now dead in the water? Trek was supposedly going to sue Lemond for speaking out about Armstrong's 'alleged' doping (with the intention of cutting their links with him) and Lemond then promised to counter-sue for failing to support / deliberately damaging the value of his brand. At one point it seemed as though much of the 'insurance' evidence that Lemond had collected over the years about Armstrong's 'preparation' methods, including covertly made phone calls, was going to be presented by him in court.

It now seems that Trek have indeed slaughtered the Lemond brand, so is that the end of it all? Pity if it is!

On the subject of covertly made recordings of conversations, I recall that at one time there were copies of that conversation between Frankie Andreu and Bill Stapleton floating around the net. (The one where Stapleton tries to get Andreu to persuade his wife to help him discredit David Walsh, and also argues that dropping the law suit against the publishers of L.A. Confidentiel would be the best thing to do "Because the other option is full-out war in a French court and everybody's gonna testify and it could blow the whole sport".)

Has LA found some dirt on Lemond or has Greg just got too preoccupied with his lawsuit over the yellowstone resort project...big one many millionaires been burned by in US of A
