I've seen a lot of riders who wear their sunglasses over the helmet straps and also a similar proportion with them under the straps. in your opinion, what is the best way to go, is there any benefits in trms of fit, comfort, style??

My glasses go over the straps - otherwise the shades would be interfering with the fit of the helmet ?
But hey - whatever works for you....0 -
I wear mine over the top of the straps as otherwise it interferes with the fit of the helmet, furthermore it's easier taking off / putting back on the sunglasses that way.0

For me it deends which glasses I'm wearing.
My Radars go over the straps but my XxX's go inside.0 -
Always over.
Always.Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.0 -
I wear mine over my straps. Makes it easier to take them off when you need to.0

I wear them under the straps and they in no way interfere with the fit of my helmet. Anyway its helps keep them onBoardman Team 09 HT

Definitely over.
It's easier to adjust the shades precisely, more comfortable, and you want to be able to take them on and off without taking your helmet off!
With many helmets you can put the stems of the shades in two of the vents at the front (turn the shades upside down first). Easier than having to stick them in a back pocket and worry about scratching the lenses.
So you want shades that can go over the helmet straps (IMHO).0 -

Under.
I have been wearing prescription specs for the last 40 years. First thing I put on in the morning; last thing I take off at night. All other clothing and headgear is put on after and taken off before.0 -
I wear mine under. Have no problem at all sliding them under the straps, even while riding.0

Over for me - need to take the sunglasses off and put them back on whilst riding sometimes and that's difficult (for me anyway) if I have to slot the arms under the straps. The helmet stays on my head all the time.0
