Quite happy. Riding home last night from work, a nice 10 miler after a 12 hour shift, done in 37 mins. Might not sound great to some but to me, that is a marked improvement when I hadn't had the chance to ride as much as I had intended in the last week or two.

Happy, happy, happy, joy, joy, joy (c/o Ren and Stimpy).

21.64 miles in 2hr 5 mins (including a stop off for a banana and a drink and also a stop off for chain coming off).

Good news DG: the more you keep going, the more it gets better.
My first attempt to ride the 20 miles home from work, about 5 years ago, took 1:45, not including the stop for goodies in the middle, and I'm fairly sure the wind was behind me. I now do a different route (19 miles but much hillier) at an average of about 1:03, and I'm sure if I was really dedicated (mostly to not eating cakes) I could get that down to about fifty-something minutes.
If you're as geeky as me you'd take delight at recording all your rides & plotting graphs showing the improvement, but you don't have to do that, just get out there and enjoy the ride - and the fitness that comes with it.
