Long story short, it looks like am gonna get peanuts for my hardtail frame so am thinking of keeping it and building up a plaything over the next 12 months to learn bike mechanic's a little better.

How well does Alu take powdercoating??

What frame, components and colour scheme you gonna go for then?

You can't pose a question like that and NOT tell us.

Don't know to be honest... Its polished at the moment so something different.

I've always been a fan of kawasaki green so maybe green for the frame, then purple and black for everything else :)

Local powdercoater might have expanded colour range since last time tho so have to have a look what they got. Pure white is tempting to match my Superlight so i'll have to have a ponder.

Anything specific i need to do to the frame before and after?? Anything to protect BB and headset area??

They should do It all for you, just hand them the frame.
