any 9sp cassette will do. Sram or Shimano

how much do you want to spend?

no probs as it is a steel freehub.

XT is best value/weight but some of the cheaper ones will last longer as there is more steel.

Weight mainly. Sometimes a different finish. They also have an aluminium carrier body.

cheers for replies I am not to bothered with the weight as I weigh over what I should and so dont think I would gain anything from a small amount of weight saved if that is all the real difference what would you recommend to buy

Might as well get the PG950 for 16 quid at Merlin. Or a Deore.

you may find the chain is too short for all gears. (Big and Big cogs that you should not really use).
