Specialized Toupe 143 - Not comft at all !!

Hi

Anyone else find these uncomfortable ? I bought one on recommendations and even had my sit bones measured.

It is bearable but not as comfy as my old flt saddle, may swap it for a smaller size or a Fizik Arione.

    They are a very popular saddle. However, just because someone else gets on with a saddle doesn't mean to say you will!

    Try as many as you can.

    True, Just expected more as it had a fit guide which i think is just a gimmick to be honest.

    I've got the 130 version of this saddle and never got on with it - after being measured for it and the many good reports not to mention the cost - i was very disappointed.

    Happy to let you have a try of the 130 if you want. PM if interested.

    I found with the Toupe that decent padded shorts work a treat, with no discomfort but anything less = pain in the bum!!

    I won't use any other saddle, I love my toupe team.

    It's not a heavily padded saddle, so it doesn't offer that sort of comfort (which isn't good anyway over any distance). It's comfortable because it distributes your weight in all the right places with just the right amount of flexibility, if you've it set up right. But maybe your anatomy/riding position has to be right for it.

    Sell or swap no probs, mine is white/red and as new, it has discoloured slightly but would clean up with leather cleaner.

    I enjoyed mine for durations upto about 90 mins if memory serves me correctly. Beyond that my ass became only too aware how little padding it had (the saddle, not my ass). I bought mine on ebay and managed to sell it for a small profit to some bloke in Russia so all's well. :D

    Mine is uncomfy over about 60 miles, but it's great to tilt it down a little and TT on...
