Go to Karls tea hut at High Beech, you can get a map there.

Also this is where most of the rides start from, The Epping Hard Cru went out from here at 9 am, you might also be able to hook-up with some other riders.

just come back from epping, interesting place, mostly fireroads/bridle paths but i noticed a lot of smaller single tracks that seem to be everywhere popping up.

quite a few guys around there too, most of them like myself had no idea where they were and just trying to find some decent trails lol.

i started from connaught water which seemed a good place to start and easy to find also.

i just now need to find some decent routes to do now, as i sure there are some good trails ect, tough it very hard to find them as a lot of the single tracks go no where and tend to be pretty random.

also OS maps dont have any trails routes just the fire roads / bridle routes.

so anyone who knows epping well id be glad if you could point out some good routes.

The best place to start is High Beech.

At the moment i seem to leading most of Epping Hard Cru(www.Eppinghardcru.co.uk) rides. We have a few mid week night rides and an early morning sunday blast. Tag along everyones welcome.

Sadly Epping forest has an army of mtb hating idiots who think its good fun to stick logs in front of trails or just try to block them off completley.

Thats why you won't find much about the good trails online. We did start to comply a map of all the best trails, the plan was to post it on our site for people to download but we sacked it off for the reasons above.
  • can you message me the maps as i am hitting epping soon? dont want to go down there without a clue , hope you can do that :)
