new all mountain bike

:shock: man looking at these forums, brochures, websites is doin my bloody head in!!!! and damn the credit crunch for makin things so bloody expensive

ive narowwed it down to a few bikes:
commencal meta 55.1 or uk
marin wolf ridge (08 or 09 depending on prices, cant be arsed to look)
lapierre zesty 314 or 514

please help guys im looking forward to a mega 9 week riding holiday this summer and love a new bike to enjoy it on ...... the joys of college

oh the metas are from merlin (both around £1750 i think) and i havent found prices for the zestys or marins :?

also anyone know merlins policy on interest free????

i tried at the bike show last year and wasnt really impresed. it felt heavy and slow and the forks are a serious sticking point for me cos my mate had a pair of xc700s that blew up........ still seems like good value but not really for me

i got the reps to weigh it and it came out at 32lbs with flats!!!!!

ive also sat on the marin and while it felt just as heavy the stem was shorter and it felt way more comfortable
