Am i right in thinking that halfords can get any bike? I think ive read it on the forum somewhere but ive searched and cant find anything.
The reason i ask is,my misses works for the nhs so has to get her c2w bike from halfords.Ive had a look at there website but most of the womens bikes are s**t to say the least.
SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES; NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS

They can't get Trek or Giant..... those 2 have cut all ties, even 3rd party ones. Not sure who else has decided to start refusing to supply Halfords though. They can get most other brands, just try to find a decent one locally.... they are very hit and miss

My Company uses Halfords for C2W. I got a new Focus Cayo January time. I was told they could not get one by Halfords, but I emailed Wiggle/Focus and got my bike. Regarding Trek, they said they could do them but I would have to pick up from a Trek shop, he nearest one was about 25 miles away. Previously I asked about a Planet X but Halfords said they would not supply as Planet X would not let their bikes go through British Standards which was interesting.

My advice is to identify the bike or bikes you would like and phone the help line to get an idea if it is possible and then proceed with the process. You have got a good choice on this scheme. My Halfords have been very helpful and good, not always the case from what I ahve read in these forums.

Very interesting. I don't think I've ever seen a bike with a British Standards kite mark on it.

No reflectors and no bell, plus bad blood between the two companies hence you can't get PX bikes through Halfords any more although you once could. I got my Merlin from Halfords so yes they can get a lot of different makes in. Phone the Halfords C2W helpline, they know their stuff unlike the shopfloor monkeys.
