Pace Carbon Armour Patch Kit Advice

I'm looking to buy a Pace Carbon Armour Patch Kit to protect my frame from my cables rubbing etc,
Going off the reviews seen here : http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... mour-33785
They look pretty good and look better than the big lizard skin protecters i think, however once they are applied can they be taken back off again?
Reason i ask this is there is mention of applying them with a hairdryer, and seeing as my bike is brand new i wouldnt want to bring the clear coat lacquer or paint off on week 1
If anyone has these I'd be grateful of the feedback.
Cheers
Pete

why would you want to take them off again?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Just a thought that's all0 -
I put some on my bike in 2005 so can't be sure there the same product now, they sure look the same though.
Amazingly enough they are all still on my frame & still look good, I have taken them off a fork & they came off easily just leaving a little residue that came off with a little solvent.0 -
thanks salsa, I shall give them a try, cheers for the advice0

Using a hairdryer to apply them softens them slightly so they conform to the frame shape better, it also allows the glue to form to te bike better and gives better' stick'.
To remove them use a hairdryer again to soften the glue and they peel off easily.
