Hi all

Currently i ride a ozonys cannibal trials frame, lovely thing and ace at what it's trying to be but im looking for something a bit more "streety".

Somrthing to ride in the park, and out on the street, 24" or 26" i dont mind, i want something flickable and nifty, hopefully something not too heavy, i want to run it fully rigid.

Looking myself i see identiti, inspired and cove have a few good offerings between them, i like charge too as i have a duster for XC. Any suggestions/experiences?

    It's called a BMX mate.

I mean, what is the point trying to ride a mountain bike for park or street? Its what a BMX was designed for surely.

Some people just prefer them. Plus some can be adapted with gears and taken on the trails.

Yeah, I realise that, but Harty said he wanted 'small and flickable' and it dosnt come smaller or more flickable than a BMX.

Just an idea anyway. If you havn't considered a BMX Harty then you really should. :)

He also said 26 or 24 wheels ;-)

BMX is a good option, but more than one way to skin this cat.

    Fairplay matey.

If you dont fancy a BMX then I'd go for a DMR Transition with 24" wheels. For the love of God dont buy a 26" wheeled bike.

I think at the cheaper end of the scale (say less than £250), for jumping BMX every time. Certainly has more strength!

I've got a maxmax, perfect little play bikes and so upgrade friendly it's untrue.
Just watch out for the oddly sized rear end,..

    Oddly sized? in what way?

I have a spare disk brake or 2 knocking around, do the frame and standard forks come with mounts for me to use them?

to some people, a 24" wheeled bike is a BMX

The fork comes with IS disc mounts, whilst the frame has an IS adaptor, and the hubs are disc ready too. Fitting them is simple.

The problem i found with the rear end was to do with the axle length.
It'll take a standard 10x135mm hub, but because of the chain tuggs and disc adaptor the axle needs to be 200mm long, most are only around 180mm.

If you want to keep it full rigid and just add discs it's perfect.

Sounds perfect, and like you say £230 from merlins now, they're only round the corner think i'll go have a look this week. Where abouts to you ride dude, is "oooop north" Lancashire or somewhere eles?
