I think I cut my carbon steerer too short.....

Bollox!!

Thought I would "lo pro" my position - however, I was sick of having a ton of spacers on top of the stem....suffice to say, I measured, measured again....checked it - then broke the angle grinder out and cut the steerer on the wrong side of the tape - schoolboy error. I can still use the fork, but it means I have no adjustment at all....as I cannot place any spacers between the headset and the stem.....Lo pro forever! Hope there is enough steerer for the thing not to snap on a sprint!

Doh! :-(

i would be more concerned if the stem top clamping bolt is below the top of the steerer.

Why make a mistake over 20 minutes, when you can make it in a second.......

New fork on order....still, gave me a bike spend for this month....Cannot believe I did it, had it nicely set up in the work bench - even put away the TIG welder to make some more space to access cutting the fork better......

Allot to be said for angle grinders.....thats how my fixie got built!

Oops ... but you could just have turned your stem upside down to get the rise ...

Too tidy to be a shed! Looks like you bought in bulk the bar tape. If you like it why not, when you try and buy another roll you find you can't buy it :(
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
