Zipp 2009 or 2008

Hi.

Does anyone know how to tell the difference between 2008 and 2009 (model year) Zipp 404s?

    Yep. Easiest way is the 09s have the World Championship rainbow graphics, although someone could have stuck these on (or removed them).

    Easiest way to identify the 2009 wheels is by the deeper hub flanges - Zipp 88/188 hubs front and rear respectively. The earlier wheels aren't as stiff as a result. Whether the differences are worth paying for will depend on what you want to do with them and your weight. If you're a heavier sprinter they might be. If you're planning triathlons or TTs probably not...
