If you know Ashton court (which I think you do  ) Still is easy to find. Do you know the metal gate opposite the quarry at the start of the quarry trail?

Hop over there and go left (downhill), Over the crossroads and carry on till you see a well used muddy wooden gate on the right. Thats Still woods.

Thats right, basically Still is right at the top of Constitution Hill. There is a little pub nearby, Miners Arms i think.

    Hanham woods.........now there's a blast from my past :D

Gosh I used to ride round there when I was 16 (I'm errr *coughs* 33 now) ha I used to ride it on my old Muddy Fox and managed to dislocate my thumb as I raced down a wee hill and hit a big stone sticking out of the ground. Lets just say the trees flew past me very quick.

Good to re-hydrate in the Chequers pub though lol even at 16 used to sneak in the odd shandy

I ride Hanham. There is a main section which is known as the "downhill" route, very short, not great. But the forest is full of XC stuff it's not that long but alot of it isnt too bad aspecially because it's only 15mins away from me. You really need to know where to go in the forest otherwise you end up only doing the "downhill" bit. If anyone is up for going down there sometime I'm up for it.

Hanham Woods is right on my doorstep and its a good place to ride it has a dirt jump place called "Black Tip" with a choice of 2 extreme downhill sections a little one (know as Moby Dick Jr.) and a bigger one (know as Moby Dick) or you can have fun doing some of the other stuff there . there are various places in which hanham woods can take you, but on the way through the woods there are some spots with a bit of action in it, there is this place called the "Elm Tree" which is right next to a pub (and the name of the pub) which makes a good exit to the woods or if you carry on the is another pub call the Chequres whic is nice. Overall hanham woods is a good place to visit for a day and there are facilitys along the way. Have Fun!!:lol::lol:
  • Me and a few mates are currently rebuilding the main trail below Elm tree, the bottom half with the big jumps is riding OK we have added a new optional technical trail to the left at the roll in for the big jumps. The main trail is very muddy atm but rides very well in summer there is an issue with some people being very opposed to trails in the area with some bloke having a go at us for "killing the flowers" but some think it's very good as it was followed by a couple saying it was really good nd to ignore him. Apart from that it is a very fun little trail 👍🏼
