I don't know of the frame repair places down there but when it's mended, get a Deda Dog Fang...

They don't fit on square tubes.

There's somebody that advertises in Cycling Weekly a carbon frame repair service. It looks repairable to me - depends on the repair technique used. Worth looking at CalfeeDesign site to see the art of the possible
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

There's a new gizmo for frames such as yours coming on the market tomorrow :D

There are places that could fix that damage for you, but I've no idea of contact details.

That looks so much better than the dog fang and obviously won't mark the frame either!

Blimey. You don't get a much better response than that!

I also broke my carbon frame, Darren did a very good repair. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

My question - how do you get the chain to fall off? (in my 40 years of riding I never have)

I occasionally manage it by doing simultaneous downshifts on both shifters, combined with the quite vicious action of the Dura Ace front mech! If I shifted more carefully I expect it would never happen, but I don't ride so calmly.

Wouldn't it be easier to learn how to change gears than repairing a frame?

for ex - why shift with both levers at the same time?

    In a perfect world...

impatience, because I can and it works 99.9% of the time, but no good reason and common sense should prevail...but often doesn't

I have seen somewhere on the web plans for making your own.
    I cant remember where though.
Also it can only be used on braze on frames or with a braze on adaptor
Cant be hard to make though

Dog fang won't fit to my carbon frame, the tubes taper too much at the bottom bracket, this device would be good, but not at that price.

Alfablue; what bike have you got?

It's a Planet-X SL Pro Carbon. The pic below shows the seat tube flares before the BB and the fang wouldn't go down far enough (at least, not for a compact chainset inner ring).

Cervelo RS frames were £1800 last time I looked.

Let me be clear, on an £1800 frame, it is probably wise. I wouldn't tell anyone else what to do with their money.

On my £400 frame it is more than 10% of the cost, so I would think twice (I have covered the vulnerable area with bike tape in the hope that it would offer some protection).

Unless you have a square section bike which was damaged by the chain, which was the original point

Hi, dont know if you have managed to get sorted with your frame? I have just spoken to Neill from Atlantic Boulevard who is just finishing my Colnago C40. He said he does repair carbon after i outlined your problem, he wil arrange to collect and deliver also. You can call him on 01617620456

My Wilier Izoard is just being repaired as we speak and has more damage than yours. According to John the repair is stronger than it was previously (like a healed bone!) he said. It looks like a good job he has done too.

I just bought one of these and installed it on my bike. Looks AND works great. Pricey - but it matches my bike so worth it for me.

Have a spare one (in the blue colour) if anyone is interested....
