I know that the 09 model rear suss design was changed, but what rear/front shock(s) would I be able to upgrade to if I decided to go for a 2nd hand 08 Speccy FSR XC Comp/Expert/Pro.
would it be possible to go up to a rear shock with pro pedal and 3 settings?
hope i have made sense...

FSRxc has non-standard shock and stroke lengths so make sure to check before you buy.You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
If you buy from TFTuned they custom tune the shock to the bike, your weight and riding style.

thanks for all the replies... I have read on the web that the rear shocks for the likes of the 2007 stumpy fsr comp and other models can't be upgraded cos of the fact that they are custom made to fit.... is this correct???0

They can be upgraded it's just your options are more limited and costly. Have a word with someone like TFTuned or Mojo, and of course Specialized.
If you think about it, 'upgrades' are available in withing the range anyway. The Comp has a X-Fusion 02RLA but the Pro comes with a Fox Triad II.You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
