Advice on building first TT bike

Hi,
I have a Trek Equinox 11 frame which I am building up, I also have a set of Bontrager Race Lite wheels (no tyres/tubes). I'm not looking to spend fortunes on the components as this is my first TT bike.
I was thinking of maybe the Bonti bull bars that would have come as standard with the frame but not sure about the stem or aero bars.
Also, regards the groupset, I can get a new 2008 SRAM Rival groupset fairly cheap, would this be suitable for TT'ing?
Any advice on other components would be appreciated.
Thanks
John

Why not look for secondhand parts. You can pick parts up quite cheaply on the timetrialling forum.
Also time trialists tend to change things around to find the ultimate position / setup and hence change parts more frequently than roadies.
eg. I have changed by bars and disc this year already.
I have Sram rival brakes and the rest of the groupset is a mix campag chorus and centaur.0
