Hi. I live in Ramsbottom, Lancs, home of "The Rake" a killer 1in 4 climb. I have a Scott MC40 for off road and a Boardman Urban Hybrid Pro for town, commuting etc...
Our cycle2work scheme is back on in May and I want a new road bike to do the 50 mile round trip to work, a combo of twisting hills, urban stop start and flat dual carriagways.
I also want to do some rural blasts at the weekend.
As I am so happy with my Boardman, i was weighing up a Team Carbon and was also impressed by a Wilier at the same Price of £1k.
Can anyone help me with my choice please?

For what you want to do, I couldn't think of a better bike than the Boardman. They climb really well and are pretty nippy too.0

Go for the Boardman.0

Good bike the boardman, but you should concern yourself with the gearing, you know compact front and a good ratio on the back, sorry if I' teaching you to suck eggs but I got caught when buying my first road bike, did the dragon ride and the lowest gear I had was 39-23 oops it hurt.0

The Boardman has 34/25 cogs so should be okay...?
My Hybrid has 36/27 and climbed the Rake (1:4) on it so should be okay
Appreciate the comments0
